# About Englewood NFL Flag Football

Englewood NFL Flag Football is a community-focused youth league offering fun, safe and inclusive flag football for boys and girls ages 5–17 in Englewood, Florida.

## Who runs the league

The league is a program of the **Englewood Area Athletic Association**, incorporated on November 13, 1972, to develop, encourage and support sports, spirit and educational programs in the Englewood community. Games are played at our fields at 6791 San Casa Dr.

## How we play

We're an NFL FLAG league: every player gets an official NFL FLAG jersey, shorts and flags. Games are 6 on 6 and non-contact, with no tackling or blocking, and we play by our own [home field rules](https://englewoodflagfootball.com/rules/). Everyone plays, and everyone sits.

Our adult referees are trained high school football officials, and our teen referees are high school football players.

## Coach, volunteer or sponsor

Coaches, volunteers and sponsors keep the league running. To get involved, contact our program director or email us: details are on the [contact page](https://englewoodflagfootball.com/contact/). The [Coaches page](https://englewoodflagfootball.com/coaches/) explains what coaching involves.
